Reels Tease Amazing New Tunes

We’ve been so lucky to have caught the eye of some of the foremost fingerstyle acoustic guitar players on this planet. Among them is Trevor Gordon Hall. Whether solo or as part of the progressive acoustic/electric trio Tripliciti, he’s an emotive musician and songwriter with a singular style and an incandescent tone.

He loves using our V44S to capture many of his more delicate pieces. Here’s a few Reels Trevor recently posted showcasing excerpts of some of his gorgeous new material:

How to Change the Tube in Your Vanguard V13!

(or, “there’s a thousand ways to change a tube in your V13, but only one right way”)

I’m a big fan of NOS tubes and how they can change the way a microphone behaves. Even though we designed our V13 specifically around a very special tube, other tubes like the EHX 6072 can bring different characteristics out of the mic. That’s why we added that spare tube slot to your V13 case…if you’re like us, you’re an audio experimenter at heart.

Some Obvious Disclaimers

UNPLUG YOUR MIC BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS! Wait 5 minutes or so for the tube to cool down if the mic has been in use.
CHECK THE PINOUT of the tube you’re about to put in to make sure it fits in the 12AX7 family.
BE CAREFUL! Condenser mics have sensitive feelings – make sure you don’t accidentally break anything!
