Spectra 1964 STX 600 500 Series Complimiter and Preamp
The Spectra 1964 STX 600 continues the brand’s five-decade legacy of Complimiter technology, now offered in a cost-effective 500 series module. This unit houses the iconic 601 Complimiter circuit, first launched in 1969, renowned for being the fastest analog compressor limiter on the market. This same circuitry is also featured in other esteemed models like the C610, 611, and the long-standing V610.
The STX 600 faithfully replicates the quick and efficient limiter/compressor performance of the 601 in a compact, budget-friendly 500 series format. With a maximum gain of 62dB, it can function both as a microphone or line preamp. Additional functionalities like 48-volt phantom power and phase control enhance the unit’s adaptability.
