PYE Audio 5060 Compressor

The PYE 5060 is designed for use in high-quality audio applications in tracking and mixing in studios where it is required to provide compression of the audio volume range. The use of pulse-modulation and discrete electronics provide a compression characteristic like no other. High quality input and output transformers ensure good noise-free coupling to other audio equipment, and high quality, and often customized parts are used throughout. The Class A output stage and custom output transformer, which is made in-house, was developed over the course of a few years and a large part of the characteristic sound.
