Most Asian-made mics have cast zinc bodies to save on money. Our rugged AK-Type VII microphone body and capsule assembly are precision machined of polished stainless steel

With its extremely broad and linear frequency response , the AK-Type VII can also be used for critical acoustical calibration measurements and testing.

The AK-Type VII excels in High-SPL / close-miking situations.

Uses include: High-SPL sources like kick drums, drum overheads, brass, electric guitar , as well as the delicate nuances of piano, choral & orchestral recording and acoustic instruments. It also is superb for Foley work.
